About me

I'm an applied AI and computer vision researcher with ten years of leadership in visual storytelling and digital media. I'm pursuing my MS in Artificial Intelligence at Grand Valley State University, graduating June 2027, and I'm based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

My active research project is the Card Valuation Matrix (CVM), a research framework I'm developing for evaluating trading card game cards across multiple dimensions simultaneously, demonstrated on Disney Lorcana TCG. It builds on a graduate research project I led at GVSU — What Wins vs. What Sells: Knowledge Discovery in Disney Lorcana's Competitive and Collector Markets — which examines the divergence between competitive performance and market valuation. CVM is being prepared for submission to a peer-reviewed academic venue. I'm also a competitive Disney Lorcana player locally, which is how I came to the research domain.

Alongside the AI work, I've spent the last decade leading visual storytelling and digital media projects. From 2018 to 2022 I led digital content for the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" in Washington, D.C. — directing a team of eight, securing more than $250,000 in equipment, and producing content for performances at venues including the White House and Kennedy Center. As Digital Media Coordinator at the Grand Rapids Art Museum (2016–2017), I produced original content for exhibitions of Andy Warhol, Iris van Herpen, and Rube Goldberg. I continue to take on freelance digital media projects alongside the research.
